Cloud attachments in a runtime cloud
You can set up more than one cloud attachment in a runtime cloud. Having additional cloud attachments gives you more capacity and processing power in the runtime cloud.
If you have Base, Professional or Professional Plus Edition, you can set up one cloud attachment in a Boomi runtime cloud. If you are using environments, you can set up one cloud attachment in a Boomi Test runtime cloud. When you set up a cloud attachment in a runtime cloud, the cloud attachment inherits the same classification as the runtime cloud. You can attach the cloud attachment only to an environment with the same classification.
If you are using Enterprise or Enterprise Plus Edition, you can set up two cloud attachments in a Boomi runtime cloud, and two cloud attachments in a Boomi Test runtime cloud. If you need more runtimes, contact your Boomi representative.
If you want to gain access to a runtime cloud or Test runtime cloud in Europe or the Asia-Pacific region and set up cloud attachments in one of those clouds, contact your account representative.
If you have access to a private runtime cloud, the Cloud owner can allow you to set up additional cloud attachments in that runtime cloud. This configuration is helpful if you use environments and you want to run all of them in the Cloud. For example, you can set up multiple cloud attachments in a private runtime cloud and attach each one to an environment.
The owner of a runtime cloud determines the number of cloud attachments you can set up in a private runtime cloud.
-
The private runtime cloud owner sets a default number of cloud attachments for each account that shares the runtime cloud. If needed, the owner can also allocate a different number of cloud attachments for an individual account.
-
The private runtime cloud owner can set up as many cloud attachments as needed in the primary account.
Boomi audits deployments based on the number of unique connections deployed per cloud attachment. Therefore, when you set up additional cloud attachments in a runtime cloud and deploy processes to them, this affects your license count. See the topic about deployments and licensing for more information. The additional cloud attachment appears in the Deployments table on the Connections tab on the Licensing page. In addition, the cloud attachmentâs names appears in the Runtime Name column.
